This paper presents an analytical review of robotic platforms used in agriculture. The key components of these platforms were reviewed: localization and positioning, steering, manipulators and path planning. The operation and performance of various existing robotic systems were analyzed, including their specifications and applications. The use of robotic platforms in potato seed production is reviewed, especially in the context of the phytoclearing procedure, which plays a critical role in protecting crops from disease and improving product quality. The paper also highlights the shortcomings of existing potato phytocleaning machines, such as limited accuracy of plant condition monitoring and high cost, and suggests directions for future research and development in the field of agricultural process automation.
