With population growth and urbanization in recent years, the science of Human Habitat has received extensive attention. The research results are of great significance for guiding urban planning, improving the living environment, and improving quality of life. An increasing number of human habitat studies have begun to merge with other specialties, especially artificial intelligence methods in the field of computer science, as a new hotspot and breakthrough point. This study systematically reviews the literature on the use of these methods in the science of Human Habitat. In this study, we adopted a hybrid review approach that combined scientometric analysis with a systematic review. This study focuses on the bibliometric characteristics of the research field. Through a systematic review, five main artificial intelligence methods and several main applications were identified and analyzed. To gain a deeper understanding of cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies, potential future research directions are discussed. This study analyzes the current research status, differentiates the research trend, and provides a reference and comprehensive thinking on the artificial intelligence method for future research in the field of human habitat. This work helps establish a system of knowledge by providing directional guidance for academic research in the field.
