Background: Bowling plays a vital part in winning the crucial movements in Cricket. Ball release speed is considered as a key element for bowlers to bowel faster with accuracy. Many factors contribute for better ball release speed. The most important factors to be reviewed for best understanding about the ball release speed are anthropometry, biomechanical, strength and conditioning parameters. Aim: The present investigation has been focused to analyze the alliance between ball release speed and anthropometric parameters. Methodology: To attain the purpose of the study, 27 Cricket bowlers were selected as subjects, from The Gandhigram Rural Institute (Deemed to be University), Gandhigram. The players' chronological age was from 18 to 25. The data were obtained on selected anthropometric variables: standing height, weight, upper arm length, lower arm length, palm length, wrist circumference, arm span, upper leg length, lower leg length, feet length and width. The height and weight of the players were accurately measured by a Stadiometer and weighing machine correspondingly. Ball release speed (BRS) was assessed by using Pocket Radar Gun. A simple correlation method was applied to compute the inter-relationship between different (highest and Lowest) Ball release speed and selected of Cricket bowlers. The stud anthropometric parameters Conclusions: y concluded that, there was some association between the and medium bowlers' BRS at 0.05 level of sig physical measurements nificance.
