Aloe vera is a plant with a wide range of applications, valuable in both medicine and cosmetology. It supports skin regeneration and accelerates wound healing. It also has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, and antioxidant properties. In addition, it has moisturizing and laxative features, supports immunity, and exhibits anticancer properties. Based on the available literature, the study aimed to present aloe vera as a valuable raw material used, among others, in the production of medicines, dietary supplements, and dermocosmetics. The article describes the properties, chemical composition and practical applications of aloe vera. An analysis of the scientific literature confirmed the presence of numerous biologically active substances in the pulp of this plant and indicated the need for further research into its full potential.
