This study aims to determine the role of school principals in empowering school committees. Principals have the greatest responsibility for their institutions and influence the success of the organization. However, there are still some problems in empowering school committees, such as the lack of optimization of the principal's role, the committee formation process that has not met expectations, and the lack of application of the principles of democracy, transparency, and accountability. Qualitative research descriptive approach, research subjects principal, chairman of the committee teachers and staff. Data collection techniques were observation, interview, and documentation. The results showed that the principal played a key role in empowering the school committee through managerial, administrative, innovative and motivational functions. The school committee plays an active role in supporting school programs and overseeing the use of resources. Good cooperation between the principal and the school committee enables effective coordination. The main supporting factor is the cooperation and harmonious relationship between the committee and the school. However, it is still necessary to overcome some obstacles such as the absence of committee members, lack of understanding and weak communication to achieve optimal program implementation.
