This study explores the potential of sustainable tourism as an effective strategy for revitalizing coastal batik heritage in Central Java, with case studies in Pekalongan, Lasem, and Demak. The results show that sustainable tourism significantly contributes to local economic growth and cultural appreciation, as evidenced by increased artisan income and positive tourist interactions. However, serious challenges such as limited artisan regeneration and suboptimal infrastructure and digital marketing still hinder the full development of this potential. This study underscores the importance of multi-actor collaboration (government, communities, tourism actors, academics) and innovation in digital marketing strategies to ensure the sustainability of batik heritage. Policy implications include the development of an integrated tourism master plan and regeneration programs that appeal to the younger generation.
