Background: The target of this study was to create a simple, precise, and robust method for estimating and quantifying mefenamic acid in Meftal tablets. Methods: High-Performance Thin-Layer Chromatography (HPTLC) was used for quantitative determination of Mefenamic acid(MFA) from Meftal 250.An applicator sample for the CAMAG Linomat 5 was utilized. Plates used were Thin layer Chromatography(TLC)silica gel 60F254 chromatographic separation employing various mobile phases with varying compositions. Methanol and ethyl acetate were used as solvent. Result: HPTLC analytical method validation was done by using various parameters like Linearity, Specificity, Precision. This technique is straightforward, robust, and specific, ensuring accurate determination of MFA content and facilitating reliable analysis in various medicinal preparations. Conclusion: MFA can be accurately quantified in both bulk and formulated forms using created and verified HPTLC method.
