AbstractThe study aimed to explore the Educational Philosophy and Vision of APJ Abdul Kalam and Its Relevance in the Present National Context. Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam was born on October 15, 1931, at Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu, India, generally known as Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, was the eleventh President of India, serving from 2002 to 2007. Dr. Kalam was a practical educational thinker and visionary who stand for integrating ancient and modern educational ideals for the development of a balanced Indian society. Being a top scientist of international reputation, his direct contribution to the advancement of science and technology is unique and commendable. His scholarly research publications, articles, books etc. have opened new avenues for research and studies in the area of aeronautics, ballistics, and metallurgy. He was a man with a prodigious vision. His vision was to make India a developed country. He had assumed his plan of action and a road map for realizing his vision. He has already articulated his educational thoughts, visions and missions in his three books: India 2020: A Vision for the New Millennium, Wings of Fire: An Autobiography of A. P. J. Abdul Kalam and Ignited Minds: Unleashing the Power within India. India has already started looking to Dr. Kalam for inspiration and guidance.
