The research aims to analyze the indicators of the green economy and sustainable development in the Iraqi economy after 2003, as well as measuring and analyzing the impact of green economy indicators on sustainable development in Iraq during the period studied. During the research period, an uncontrolled relationship was observed between indicators of the green economy and sustainable development in Iraq. The research concluded with several recommendations, of which the most important being that Iraq must work to increase interest in the various economic sectors and diversify its economy instead of focusing primarily on the oil sector and its exports to strengthen its economy. Rather, not make it vulnerable to the fluctuations of global markets, but reduce the challenges facing Iraq’s green economy.
