The article substantiates the commonality in the vocabulary of Uzbek dialects and Turkic languages, the possibility and relevance of isolating this issue into a separate research topic. It is emphasized that the Uzbek dialects and Turkic languages have preserved words characteristic of the common Turkic stage of development, and their connection with the modern Uzbek literary language is highlighted. The study of Uzbek dialects in comparison with Turkic languages allows us to find out important information about the structural-semantic and etymological characteristics of lexemes, and is also important in the analysis of semantic changes, which is demonstrated by examples. It was noted that dialects reflect important features of language development and are an incomparable treasure of national spirituality and values. It was emphasized that the preservation of dialects and their study in harmony with the issues of Turkic dialectology is of great importance for the development of the Uzbek language
