This article examines the historical background and lexical richness of the Azerbaijani language and its influence on neighboring peoples, particularly the Armenian language and the military lexicon of the Republic of Armenia. The research demonstrates that the Azerbaijani language is not merely a means of communication but also a significant regional and strategic language that has strongly influenced the formation and terminological base of other languages, including Armenian. Analyses conducted within historical-political and linguistic frameworks prove that the Armenian language has extensively adopted Azerbaijani-origin words not only in everyday life but also in military, administrative, and technical fields. The article presents several Turkic military terms used in the Armenian army and provides phonetic, semantic, and functional analyses of these words. Additionally, attention is drawn to the artificial lexicon policy of Armenians, the distortion and “Armenianization” of Turkic-origin words, and the unsuccessful results of these attempts. The study concludes that the Azerbaijani language remains an important factor of interlinguistic influence in the region, and this influence continues to this day.
