Motivation: Hyperpolarized 129Xe gas-exchange imaging techniques are not yet standardized across sites. Goal(s): To determine whether 1-Point Dixon, ME IDEAL, and CSI produce equivalent results. Approach: Hyperpolarized 129Xe MRI gas-exchange was measured in eight healthy participants using the 1-Point Dixon technique, and compared with either ME IDEAL or CSI, based on random assignment, in the same participant. Results: There was overall agreement between 1-Point Dixon and ME IDEAL and CSI with both global and regional measures of 129Xe gas-exchange. However, some histogram shape metrics significantly differed. Impact: These results on a small cohort of participants provide preliminary support for equivalence between 1-Point Dixon, ME IDEAL, and CSI methods in the same healthy participant. This work shows promise for the standardization of hyperpolarized 129Xe gas-exchange imaging measures.
