Motivation: To enable faster, high-resolution late gadolinium enhancement (LGE) MRI for detailed myocardial scar visualization, we developed a 3D cone trajectory approach to achieve faster scans with enhanced image quality. Goal(s): To reduce scan time and improve image sharpness and contrast in 3D Cones LGE MRI, focusing on the clear differentiation of scar tissue. Approach: We implemented a keyhole-filtered view-sharing reconstruction technique with a 3D Cone sequence to accelerate LGE imaging within in-vivo infarcted pig hearts. Results: Fast 3D Cone LGE with keyhole-filtered view-sharing reconstruction achieved enhanced scar contrast and edge sharpness, as confirmed by improved differentiation between scar, myocardium, and blood pool. Impact: This accelerated imaging enables high-quality myocardial scar visualization, improving pre-treatment or real-time intra-treatment planning for MRI-guided cardiac arrhythmia interventions.
