Acute Sensory-Motor Axonal Neuropathy (ASMAN) is a rare, severe variant of Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS), marked by ascending muscle weakness, numbness, and sensory-motor impairment due to axonal degeneration. Contemporary management is mostly supportive, with limited options for axonal repair. Ayurveda offers a holistic, individualized approach through Panchakarma and Shamana chikitsa. Aim: The aim of this study was to assess the efficacy of Panchakarma modalities in ASMAN. Materials and Methods: A 26-year-old female presented with bilateral limb weakness, gait difficulty, numbness, tingling, sleep disturbances, and unintentional weight loss. Nerve conduction studies confirmed severe sensory-motor axonal neuropathy in all limbs. From Ayurvedic perspective, the condition was diagnosed as Sarvangavata. Treatment included Rukshana (drying therapies) to correct Avarana, restore Agni and to eliminate Ama, followed by Brimhana (nourishment), along with Abhyanga, Swedana, Rajayapana Basti and Shirodhara. After discharge, the patient continued on Shamana Oushadhi. Regular follow-ups were conducted over 2 months. Results: After two cycles of Ayurvedic therapy and continued outpatient care, the patient showed significant improvements in muscle strength (MRC grade improved from 2–3/5 to 3–5/5), pain (VAS reduced from 8/10 to 2/10), and sleep quality. No adverse effects were reported. Conclusion: This case highlights the potential of Ayurvedic management in promoting recovery in ASMAN. Various Panchakarma modalities significantly improved the patient's condition, enabling her to perform minimum basic daily activities with greater ease.
