Abstract Southern forsters have tried to devise some plan for making tax-delinquent lands productive on a wholesale scale. The author tells how he dealt with this problem on an individual basis. He took over an 80-acre tract and made it produce timber for the nation's need at a profit for himself. His experience suggests that wisely selected tax-delinquent lands offer foresters many a golden opportunity to demonstrate intensive forestry and win an adequate reward.
