Background. The article presents the results of a study examining the factors influencing teachers' decisions on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in the educational process. Purpose. The authors aim to identify and analyze factors influencing teachers' adoption of artificial intelligence tools in the educational process through the analysis of empirical data. Methodology. The analysis of literature allowed us to identify current trends. The method of sociological research was an expert survey, the respondents of which were 162 teaching staff. The expert survey was conducted in October-November 2024. When analyzing the obtained empirical data, Pearson's Chi-square test was used. Results. The study analyzed key factors influencing teachers' decisions to use artificial intelligence tools in their professional activities: increasing efficiency and productivity, automation of routine tasks, accessibility and ease of use, recommendations from colleagues, influence of AI experts, desire for innovation and development, budget constraints, personal preferences and beliefs. Practical implications. The results of the study can be applied in the field of education to formulate goals and objectives for the development and advanced training of teaching staff.
