In May 2016, a salvage excavation was conducted in the eastern part of Moshav ‘Amqa in Western Galilee (Permit No. A-7696; map ref. 215804–906/764887–997; Fig. 1). The excavation, undertaken on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and funded by Ma tt e Asher Economic Development Company, was directed by M. Shemer, with the assistance of Y. Yaakobi, B. Zidan and R. Abu Halaf (administration), R. Mishayev and R. Liran (surveying and plans), K. Covello-Paran (scientific guidance), D. Avshalom-Gorni (pottery reading), N. Getzov (pottery reading and guidance in the field) and C. Amit (studio photography).
