The contemporary Multinational Corporations (MNC) Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities in Southeast Asia are introduced in this paper. The purpose of this research is to acquire deeper insight into how MNCs in Southeast Asia perpetuate labor rights violations despite publicly promoting CSR commitments in Southeast Asia. In this paper, several scholarly papers published after 1970 were analyzed not only to explore the current situation of MNCs in Southeast Asia, but also to realize their historical background. It is found that MNCs usually distort narratives about their behaviors to announce their CSR commitments in Southeast Asia. However, these MNCs do not actually conduct on these CSR commitments but exploit workers physically, emotionally, financially, and sexually through weak regulatory frameworks in Southeast Asian countries while preserving their global brand image.
