Abstract This paper presents volume basal area factors for white pine that provide foresters with considerable flexibility in sampling. The factors permit estimates of board foot or cubic foot volumes to various upper-stem diameter limits by tallying trees in merchantable or total height classes. The rapidity in making volume computations is illustrated.
