The possibility of predicting the contact endurance of working surfaces of gears made of ЭИ415-Ш, 18Х2Н4МА, ВКС-5 and 12Х2Н4А(Ш) steels is investigated based on multi-stage design of gear transmission. It is established that for assessment of the influence of gear manufacturing technology taking into account chemical and thermal treatment on contact stress in engagement, it is advisable to use an array of data on mechanical properties of materials, integrating computing resources into the physical process.
