On April 17, 2024, the Department of Russian Language for Foreign Students held a round table “Specialty “Russian as a Foreign Language” at the Philological Faculty of Lomonosov Moscow State University”, dedicated to the 270th jubilee of Moscow University. The subject of discussion was the history of the study and description of the Russian language for the purpose of teaching it to citizens of foreign countries. The event was dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the first edition of the repeatedly reprinted collective monograph “The Book on Grammar”, which summarizes many years of practical experience of the departments of Russian as a foreign language at Lomonosov Moscow State University and provides a description of the grammatical structure of the Russian language in functional-semantic and functional-communicative aspects.
