It has been recognised that there is no stamped earthen walls in Gaya in the existing researches of Gaya fortress. However, recently, it was suggested that Gayari Earthen walls in Ham-an, one the Gaya fortresses, is a stamped earthen walls. In this thesis, the most precise criteria was suggested in advance to judge whether earth stamping was applied in earthen walls. Based on the standard, this thesis examined the construction method of Gayari Earthen Walls, and whether it was built in earth stamping method. Gayari Earthen Walls is estimated that it underwent four times of repairment at most and several stages have time intervals, while there are some differences depending on the spots. However, the construction methods of each stages are assumed to be connected systematically, considering one construction skill appears in the same position of another stage. In the initial stage, characteristics of stamped earth walls are found in the stereobate section and the wall section. However, considering the supposed structure and usage of wooden boards with the pillars and surrounding layers altogether, Gayari Earthen Walls is estimated to have been built in stratified embankment, rather than earth stamping. Especially, it shares some commons with earliest stamped earthen walls of Silla and Baekjae, while it doesn’t have distinct features of stamped earthen walls. Considering these traits, Gayari Earthen Walls is estimated to be embanked earthen walls in the transitional period to stamped earthen walls.
