This heuristic research delves into the narrative of a daughter's journey as she encounters her father's battle with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Through an in-depth exploration of themes, including the trajectory of the illness, the market–health service nexus, financial strains, and the complexities and practical nuances of geriatric care and end-of-life care, this study uncovers the multifaceted experiences and challenges usually encountered by a family. It examines the uncertainty surrounding the illness, assuming new roles, and the emotional landscape of grief and acceptance.
