The article discusses the influence of a favourable psychological climate on the creation of a safe educational environment. The frequent cases of bullying show that modern schools do not provide physical and psychological safety for students. Psychological and physical violence at school is becoming commonplace. This situation leads to negative attitudes of students to school: unwillingness to attend school, depression, aggressiveness, etc. An unfavourable psychological situation has a negative impact not only on the identity of the victim, but also on the buller itself. A favourable psychological climate in a class or group is one of the dominant conditions for the development of a safe educational environment. To assess the psychological climate in schools and colleges the method «Diagnostics of the psychological climate in the classroom team» was used. The experiment involved 392 school and college respondents. The assessment of the school climate was carried out on a gradation scale, which identified five positions: an emotionally positive psychological climate; stable and positive psychological climate; situational positive climate; situational negative climate; negative psychological climate. The most favourable is the emotionally positive psychological climate in which children feel safe, satisfied, confident. The study showed that the learning environment in which they are located is mostly assessed based on a positive situational climate. Both schools and colleges tend to dominate this position. For senior classes and college courses, this position is more pronounced. The next rank takes a position - situational negative climate, which does not exclude the presence of a bullying situation in the educational environment. The obtained results are a subjective assessment of students of their educational environment and show how comfortable or not the teenager feels in an educational institution. The creation of a safe educational environment is possible only if there is a favourable psychological climate in the classroom/group.
