Current problems of improving the physical education of cadets of higher military educational institutions during the period of primary military-professional training are considered. Possibilities of improving the efficiency of physical training of cadets by introducing crossfit equipment have been studied. It was found that the crossfit system has a positive effect on the level of physical fitness of cadets, contributes to increasing motivation for physical culture and sports activities, mastering knowledge, skills and abilities for independent training and leading a healthy lifestyle. It was determined that the distinguishing features of the military-professional training of cadets of higher military educational institutions are the constantly growing volume of educational information with limited training periods; high nervous and emotional stress; overloading of the intellectual sphere; decrease in motor activity. It has been shown that crossfit classes positively contribute to the comprehensive improvement of motor skills, harmonious physical development, and strengthening of health. In the process of classes, vital motor skills and skills are formed. Acquired special knowledge fosters moral and strong- willed qualities. It is substantiated that the current system of physical education of cadets is ineffective, as it does not ensure the combat and applied readiness of cadets for professional activity and further service and needs constant improvement. The program for improving the physical fitness of cadets of higher military educational institutions during the period of primary military-professional training with the use of crossfit equipment is presented. A methodological approach to the development of a program of physical training of cadets is proposed, which combines generally accepted means of developing physical qualities and means of crossfit. The obtained data can be used to develop work programs for the physical training of cadets, in teaching the theory and methods of physical education for cadets of higher education institutions with specific learning conditions, as well as servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
