Strategic planning for the transport systems development. The regional aspect.

In the course of the study, the degree of elaboration of issues of strategic development of transport systems on the example of several regions was considered, a comparative analysis of the development mechanisms proposed in the state programs of the regions was carried out, the sources of ensuring the implementation of programs and the sufficiency of their financing in terms of the scale of implemented activities were studied. The authors conducted a comparative analysis of the application of innovative approaches in measures for the development of transport systems outlined in government programs, as well as an analysis of promising areas for the development of inland waterway transport in regions with relevant geographical features. The purpose of the research is to identify promising directions for the Russian Federation transport system development as a necessary structural element of the each region economy. The main research methods identified by the authors of the article are: abstraction, concretization, observation, comparison, analysis, synthesis, analogy, deduction, induction, generalization. The result of the conducted research is to determine the list of promising directions for the development of transport systems on the example of a number of regions with the mandatory application of an innovative component and the development of specific proposals on options for integrating the proposed solutions into the regional economy.
