In the article the author examines the implementation of foreign experience in the activities of Ukrainian probation authorities. The emphasis is placed on the best practices from the Anglo-Saxon, Scandinavian, continental and American models, which contribute to the rehabilitation of offenders, reducing the rate of recidivism and their integration into the society. The author describes key components of these probation models, such as supervision, support, training and the use of digital technologies. The author analyzes the possibility of adapting the main principles of the mentioned models of probation systems, that is: resocialization and rehabilitation, individual approach, characteristics of multidisciplinary teams and the main probation programs. They are implemented in Ukrainian realities including regulatory and legal support, challenges and risks and regarding their integration into the national system of probation authorities. The author determines that the implementation of international experience contributes to the improvement of the efficiency of the probation authorities of Ukraine, in particular, through the improvement of risk assessment methods, the development of individual plans for behavior correction and ensuring access to social services. The need for comprehensive training of personnel and provision of resources for the implementation of these changes is indicated. The introduction of international approaches makes it possible to improve the management systems of probation bodies, ensuring a balance between public safety and rehabilitation of offenders, which is critically important for their successful integration into the society and prevention of repeated crimes. The Anglo-Saxon model expands cooperation with public organizations; the Scandinavian model - improvement of the criminal justice system; continental model - rehabilitation and social integration of offenders. The American probation model combines an individualized approach, educational and vocational programs, psychological and social counseling, addiction treatment, etc. It has been proven that the introduction of such programs in Ukraine has a significant potential for improving the work of the probation system, resocialization of persons under registration and contributes to the humanization of criminal law policy.
