Jennifer Redman, M.Ed. (she/her), is an educator in Wasaga Beach, Ontario. She has been teaching for 23 years. Jennifer has a passion for moving the classroom outside, where children of all ages connect with nature. Her research focuses on the benefits of having students engage in meaningful learning experiences in the outdoors, and the perceived barriers of outdoor education in the mainstream schooling environment. In Off to the Forest, the children are joyfully free to move their bodies, explore the world, and breathe fresh air. The teacher is leading the class of youngsters off on a nature excursion. The unique personalities are evident as they excitedly march into the woods where they will collaborate, discuss, and build relationships.
