Friction Stir Welding FSW welding is process for joining AA 6061 T6 series aluminum alloy, this process solid state welding method that can produce high quality welds for several materials that have low weldability such aluminum. The parameters required for this FSW welding research include milling machine rotation speed, feeding, pin shape and dimensions, tool slope, geometry, material and tools be used. This research analyzes the impact of the macrostructure on the surface of FSW welding area determine the mechanical properties of the AA-6061-T6 series aluminum material. The results of the research and analysis are that there are 4 best welding specimens, namely specimen 5, specimen 11, specimen 4, specimen 6 and there are 4 less good specimens, namely specimen 6, specimen 14, specimen 1, specimen 8. There are also 8 rejected specimens, namely specimen 2, specimen 3, specimen 7, specimen 10, specimen 12, specimen 13, specimen 15, specimen 16.
