This research aims to explore the representation of feminism in the film Sri Asih. The reasearch method employed is descriptive qualitative analysis, using Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis approach. The signs found in the film are analyzed using Roland Barthes' two-stage semiotic model, which includes Denotation, Connotation, and Myth. The film Sri Asih predominantly represents the liberal feminist ideology. This is depicted through the behavior and fashion of the characters in the film, who challenge gender stereotypes and assert power and freedom that era equal to or greater than that of men. The film represents liberal feminism, which supports the idea that women should have the same opportunities as men, in terms of power, roles, and self-expression, with an emphasis on individualism, strength, and independence. This is further emphasized through costume choices that underline the freedom of women to define themselves.
