Student wellbeing is a state of sustainable emotional well-being characterized by positive attitudes, behaviors, relationships with peers and teachers. The study aims to analyze the role and identify the steps of the principal's academic supervision in improving student wellbeing at SMA Muhammadiyah 4 Porong. The type of research used is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. Data sources consist of the principal/curriculum vice principal, annual work plan documents and supervision reports. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study showed that the principal's academic supervision plays an important role in improving the quality of learning and student wellbeing. Supervision steps include structured and systematic planning, implementation, and evaluation. In conclusion, optimizing academic supervision by the principal is effective in creating a conducive learning environment and improving the quality of learning, thereby improving student wellbeing.
