In this work, we propose to quantify glutamate with CEST imaging. We use quantitative magnetic resonance spectroscopy as a standard method to measure glutamate concentration in the mouse striatum, and build a CEST model optimized for high saturation power to properly fit glutamate concentration. The CEST estimator developed in this way allowed us to recover glutamate concentration with an average error of 0.7 mM.
