Prospects for the Introduction of New Technologies Into the Activities of the Internal Affairs for the Prevention of Offenses

The article reveals the modern goals and objectives of the activities of internal affairs bodies in the prevention of offenses (crimes and administrative offenses). Certain promising areas for introducing new information technologies into police activities, including digital technologies, are identified. In particular, it is substantiated that this approach contributes to the adaptability of crime prevention activities to modern challenges and threats that are informational in nature. The positive potential of enriching the arsenal of tools used in the activities of internal affairs bodies with digital technologies in the implementation of specific areas of prevention is argued. Finally, the conclusion is formulated that the digitalization of preventive police activities in general contributes to its efficiency.
