This study aims to understand how the concept of Ta'lim Muta'alaim is implemented in Modern Islamic Boarding Schools at PERSIS Bangil in a modernist Islamic perspective. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, data was collected through in-depth interviews and participatory observation with teachers and the head of the Ponpes. The results showed that Ta'lim Muta'alaim is understood as a holistic approach that combines intellectual and spiritual development with values such as integrity, honesty, responsibility and respect. The main challenge in implementing this concept is adapting traditional teaching methods to modern technology. Implementation steps include teacher training, curriculum revision, and development of support programs. While there are challenges such as changing old mindsets and limited resources, great opportunities lie in using technology to enrich learning. With continuous evaluation and adjustment, this concept is expected to form students who are academically smart and morally and spiritually strong.
