From the perspective of legal science, the article examines such a complex interdisciplinary term as the soft power of the state and its objective relationship with the broader concept of “soft power,” justified by the author. Integral factors that hinder the spread of Russia's soft power abroad are identified and revealed, as well as the federal need to create an appropriate conceptual document and a specialized government structure for the implementation of such external influence in the world. Promising political and legal approaches are formulated aimed at successfully cultivating abroad a complementary perception of our country, a fundamentally antagonistic transatlantic model of the world order on the principles of false values, coercion, egocentrism and dictate.
