Methodology of designing a monumental decorative artwork in the painting technique using the example of renovation of the facade of the "Etalon" furniture center (Irkutsk)

The article describes a method of designing a monumental decorative artwork in the context of synthesis of architecture and monumental decorative painting. Based on a survey carried out during the renovation of the facade of the "Etalon" furniture center (Irkutsk, Partizanskaya str. 63), this study identifies the main stages of analytical work required to be performed to tackle problems arising in the renovation of antiquated facades and walls by monumental decoration using art painting techniques. The principles revealed in the study formed a theoretical model, which demonstrates the phased analysis mechanism. The conclusion summarizes the key points that confirm the relevance of this approach to solving the challenge.
