Abstract Introduction The desire of cement manufactures to prevent accidents and fatalities is also reflected in their commitment to support their contractors in the development and improvement of their internal health and safety management systems. Materials and Methods This commitment resulted in the signing of a health and safety charter at work and the creation of health and safety collectives with support, audit and awareness-raising missions aimed at coaching and improving awareness of health and safety issues at work. Trophies are also distributed to the most committed. Results and Conclusions A significant reduction in accidents was noted with a clear improvement in the involvement and commitment of contractors. We have achieved zero fatal accidents for several years and significantly reduced the number of accidents recorded on cement sites in which subcontractors are involved.
