The petrochemical industry in the energy policy of the Kurdistan Region (A Study in Political Geography)

Petrochemical industries have a special importance in the development of the country, because their products are used as raw materials in most other industries. Therefore, in this study, we focused on the petrochemical industry in the energy policy of the Kurdistan Region. In this study, both force analysis and analytical methods were used, and to reach the scientific responses, we divided the research into three main axes. The first topic analyzes the framework of the research and the second deals with the petrochemical industry and its importance, while the third topic deals with the energy policy and petrochemical industry in the region, as a result we concluded that despite the importance of this type of industry, but so far this type of industry has not been taken care of in the Kurdistan Region.
