Since the 2000s, unlike Korea, the animation field has been activated in China. This is largely due to the promotion of animation consumption by China's Generation Z. The Korean animation industry, which is currently in a recession, also needs to grasp the characteristics of Generation Z and reflect it in animation and character production. To this end, this paper conducted a study to derive design elements that meet the demand of Generation Z in China through the Delphi technique and the KJ method in relation to character design, which is the center of animation production and the core of intellectual property rights, and attempted to provide reference for the change and re-establishment of animation production methodology.
