Training of a competitive specialist in the field of medicine requires familiarization of students with instrumental methods of functional diagnostics.That is why at the Dnipro State Medical University, students studying in the specialty 222 "Medicine" have the opportunity to choose the elective discipline "Instrumental Methods of Functional Diagnostics".The preparation of the program of this discipline was preceded by a thorough analysis of world experience in teaching medical students the subject of using instrumental methods of functional diagnostics.The purpose of the article: рresentation of the teaching features of the new elective discipline "Instrumental Methods of Functional Diagnostics" at the Dnipro State Medical University.In the process of studying the discipline "Instrumental Methods of Functional Diagnostics", a significant number of methods of teaching students are used according to the type of cognitive activity, тeaching methods according to the main stages of the process are the following, methods based on a systematic approach, Журнал «Перспективи та інновації науки» (Серія «Педагогіка», Серія «Психологія», Серія «Медицина») № 6(40) 202419 аccording to the sources of knowledge. .In order to have a comprehensive impact and improve the application of the information learned in previous courses, various teaching methods are used according to the level of independent mental activity.Studying the discipline "Instrumental Methods of Functional Diagnostics" allows the students of the 5th year to form special competencies: the ability to determine the necessary list of laboratory and instrumental studies and evaluate their results to establish a preliminary and clinical diagnosis of the disease.In addition, based on the results of studying the educational discipline, the student achieves program learning outcomes, namely to prescribe and analyze additional examination methods, to be able to evaluate instrumental methods of functional diagnostics in patients with various diseases of organs and body systems, to improve the skills of differential diagnosis of diseases.
