About Financial Support for Fighters of Volunteer Forms During the Second World War (Based on the Example of the Rostov Region)

The article addresses the provision of legally sanctioned monetary allowances to fighters from volunteer formations established in the Rostov region during the Great Patriotic War. It scrutinizes regulatory documents approved by the highest national authorities as well as documents from Rostov's regional party-state structures that are directly related to the financial support of these local volunteer military units. The article outlines the rationale, general characteristics, and mechanisms of regular monetary payments, highlighting their specific features and amounts. Additionally, it examines the disparities in the grounds, procedures, and mechanisms for disbursing monetary allowances to volunteers who joined the regular army, irregular regional volunteer formations, and partisan units. By analyzing documents, the authors reveal the specific sums allocated as monetary allowances to volunteers and the variations depending on the type of volunteer formation, rank, and position.
