The article describes the methodology of linguodidactic interpretation of toponyms durinng the Balkarian Language lessons in the general education system of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic. It updates the relevance of providing the younger generation with the knowledge about toponyms during their Native Language classes, since they expand the horizons of students and contribute to the formation and deepening of not only their linguistic skills, but also humanities competencies in general.
