Knowledge, Attitude and Practice Towards Breast Self-Examination Among Non-Medical Female Students: An Observational Study

This study examined the knowledge, attitude, and practice regarding breast self-examination (BSE) among non-medical female students. Results revealed that a significant portion had fair knowledge (74%) and a smaller percentage had good knowledge (22.50%), while a minority had no knowledge (3.50%). In terms of attitude, the majority exhibited poor attitudes (81.50%), with a minority displaying reasonable attitudes (18.50%). Practice outcomes indicated that the vast majority of students had poor practice (99%), whereas only a small fraction demonstrated good practice (1%). These findings underscore the need for targeted educational interventions to improve knowledge, attitudes, and practices regarding BSE among this demographic.
