Nizami Ganjavi wrote his works in Persian. For this reason, Iran claims that he is a Persian poet. However, Nizami was born in Ganja and was buried in Ganja. Mammad Amin Rasulzade proved that Nizami Ganjavi is an Azerbaijani and an Azerbaijani poet by writing the work ―The Great Azerbaijani Poet Nizami‖ in the 40s of the 20th century.
