V.M. Akhutin in Memories and Impressions (on the 100th Anniversary of His Birth)

The article highlights the main milestones in the life and scientific path of the Honoured Worker of Science and Technology of the USSR, laureate of the Lenin and State Prizes, former director, Chief Designer of the Research Technological Institute of Biotechnical Systems, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor of Saint Petersburg State Electrotechnical University “LETI”, . participant of the Great Patriotic War, retired captain of the 1st rank, member of the Union of Artists Vladimir Mikhailovich Akhutin (26.03.1924-09.11.2005). V.M. Akhutin was the scientific director of a complex of fundamental research on developing methods for the synthesis of biotechnical control systems and the scientific director of the international program “Man and the Sea”. The main results of V.M. Akhutin’s scientific research are published in 12 monographs and textbooks, 157 printed articles and scientific reports released in domestic and foreign issues. He is the author of 48 inventions. Under V.M. Akhutin’s leadership, more than 30 government research and development projects are completed. These technical systems have repeatedly received the highest awards and diplomas of Honour at international exhibitions.
