Relevance. With the growing popularity and usage of digital education, understanding the best methods and technologies for teaching English to medical professionals can significantly enhance their learning experience, addressing the unique needs of medical professionals. Purpose. The study aims to address the effectiveness of online learning platforms in teaching English to medical students and staff in terms of achieving educational goals and learning outcomes. Methodology. The study utilized a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods, including data collection, surveying, comparison, and theoretical analysis. Results. The study noted that the effectiveness of online platforms for foreign language teaching is recognised by most teachers, but there are certain doubts and dissatisfaction among some of the study participants. This subsequently indicates the need for a deeper analysis of the causes of dissatisfaction and limitations, as well as for improving the functionality of the platforms. The results showed that feedback on online platforms is perceived as a useful tool, but there is a need for improvement, especially in terms of personalisation and specific recommendations. The study emphasised that this points to the need to develop more effective feedback methods on platforms to support learning and improve student performance. The study determined that the adaptability and flexibility of online education platforms are key factors in their effectiveness. Conclusions. As a result, personalised courses and materials were noted to be designed to meet individual knowledge levels and learning objectives allowing users to learn at the desired pace and focus on the most relevant topics. The study determined that machine learning algorithms adapt the content to the needs and progress of each student, which significantly improves the quality and efficiency of the educational process. As such, modern technologies, including artificial intelligence, are significant in the transformation of education.
