The article is dedicated to the issues of sovereignty in the constitutional law aspect. The paper offers a historical insight on sovereignization of the Kyrgyz Republic (KR) and focuses attention on the reflection of the legal category of sovereignty in the constitutional matter. Reviewing sovereignty of the state as the basis of the constitutional structure, the author has studied inclusion in the Fundamental Law of the KR of the state sovereignty mechanism that develops popular sovereignty. The paper emphasizes the importance of correct reflection of international matters in the fundamental law for prevention of any external interference with the internal affairs of the state. At the same time, the author expresses an idea about the need for cooperation between states to ensure sustainable development and growth of the social and economic dynamics of the state and its defense potential; in this context the article supports the idea of the efficiency of development of Eurasian constitutionalism.
