The study presents an innovative Internet of Things (IoT)-based smart system that is precisely designed to detect, notify, and prevent vehicle accidents. The study aims to enhance road safety by leveraging IoT technologies to continuously monitor and analyze real-time data from vehicles and road infrastructure. Integration of various sensors, including accelerometers, ultrasonic, limit switch, GPS, GSM, control switch, and vibration sensors, enables the system to detect critical events. A signal from an accelerometer, vibration and a GPS sensor are detected with the help of a GSM device and the system automatically sends an alert message through the app to the emergency services, including chosen contact and ambulance. The goal of this study is to promote speedy reactions and minimize potential damage. Furthermore, the system employs preventive measures, such as automatic braking and adaptive speed control, to help mitigate the risk of accidents, also the system informs the driver with a buzzer sound about the danger zone, engine temperature and over speeding of the vehicle. The implementation of an IoT -based smart system has the potential to significantly reduce the accident and severity of vehicle accidents, thereby enhancing road safety and ultimately saving lives.
