Abstract Clinical prevention in primary care involves the identification of risk factors and early signs of disease, as well as the implementation of interventions to prevent the onset or progression of illness in individuals. Community based primary care physicians are best positioned within the health system to deliver clinical prevention. It is essential for primary care physicians to stay up-to-date with current screening guidelines and recommendations from professional organizations to provide evidence-based care.
