An Observational Study of Maternal and Perinatal Outcome in Preeclampsia Cases in a Tertiary Care Center

Preeclampsia, a hypertensive disorder in pregnancy, is a multisystem disease of unknown etiology and is associated with an increased risk of maternal mortality and morbidity. Infants from preeclampsia mothers have significantly higher incidence of prematurity, somatic growth retardation, thrombocytopenia, low birth weight, respiratory distress syndrome, and long duration of admission to neonatal intensive care (NICU).
